February 7 – Le Not So Hot Klub at Banter

Le Not So Hot Klub du Denton

First Tuesdays at Banter bring some of Denton’s favorite talent to the stage. Following Mr. Joe comes the music lover’s delight, Le Not So Hot Klub du Denton.  Greatly missing their founder, Andy Cooper who is on the mend from a serious health setback, the gypsy jazz torch is kept burning by fellow band members.  The original lineup is represented by lead guitarist Thad Bonduris who currently leads the arrangements and Leon Peek on rhythm guitar.  Regulars in today’s Not So Hot Klub include Jeffrey Barnes on reeds and harmonica, Ginny Mac on accordian, Austin Smith on violin and Steve Prouty on drums. Regular bassist, Jacob Appelt is replaced tonight with former Not So Hot Klub veteran Bach Norwood on bass. Additional  guests tonight include, Lee Schloss on sax.

Tunes tonight come from a variety of eras as did the iconic musician this band pays tribute to.  Tunes include I Remember You, Sway, I Can’t Give You Anything But Love.  A lovely night to imagine yourself Under the Paris Sky.

Austin Smith and Ginny Mac play off each other while the band and crowd smiles on.

Bach Norwood and Steve Prouty form the foundation for the NotSos
